Screening & CV ranking

Stop reading every CV

Every applicant is scored and ranked against the role the moment they apply: by CV first, then by the MCQ, written, and one-way video answers you set. The pile becomes a ranked list before a recruiter opens it, and the round runs without you.

A stack of CVs becomes a ranked candidate list scored 94, 88, 81, 76, and 69, graded across CV, MCQ, written, and video.

CV ranking

Every CV ranked against the role the moment it lands

Tarkflo reads each CV and scores it against what the role actually needs, weighting recent experience over old. The result is a ranked list, not an inbox, and it is built to be fair, with contact details redacted from the score so résumé polish does not outrank fit.

  • Recency-weighted skill match, scored against the role
  • Fairness-first redaction so the score is about fit
  • Bias-audit aware, so you can stand behind the ranking
A CV card with contact details redacted behind a shield, skills tagged Recent versus older years, scored 88 recency-weighted.
Assessments

MCQ, written, and one-way video, graded to your rubric

Add the questions that decide the role. MCQ is auto-scored on submit. Written answers and one-way video interviews are read against your rubric, so a thoughtful answer in different words still scores well and a padded one does not. Video is transcribed, then graded, and never auto-rejected.

  • MCQ auto-scored; written and one-way video graded to your rubric
  • Video answers proctored, transcribed, then graded: routed to a human, never auto-rejected
  • Each score links to the answer that produced it
MCQ, Written, and Video answer cards connected to a central Rubric: MCQ auto-scored, written scored 8.5, video transcribed and scored 9.2.

Common questions

Do you support one-way video interviews?

Yes. One-way video is a first-class screening format in Tarkflo Hire: candidates record answers to your prompts in the browser, each answer is proctored, transcribed, and graded to your rubric, and the recording stays attached to the scorecard. For roles that need a real conversation, the live two-way AI voice interview runs as the next round in the same pipeline.

How are video answers scored?

Candidates record a response to a prompt. Tarkflo transcribes it and grades the content against your rubric, the same way it grades written answers. Video never triggers an automatic rejection; borderline answers are routed to a human. The recording and transcript stay attached to the scorecard.

Does the CV screen reject people on its own?

No. CV ranking sorts applicants against the role so you see the strongest first; it does not silently reject anyone. You and your rounds decide who advances.

Is the scoring fair and consistent?

Every candidate for a role is scored against the same rubric, with contact details redacted from the score and recent experience weighted over old. Results are comparable, bias-audit aware, and auditable.
